Why Bale's mom called the cops

PrintChristian Bale hasn't spoken to his mother since he screamed at her for 10 minutes and threw her and her sisters out of his London hotel suite on the eve of the premiere of "The Dark Knight" two years ago. "He just exploded with anger like I have never seen. He never gave us a chance to find out what it was all about before he frog-marched us out of his suite," his mom, Jenny,told Britain's Daily Mail. Jenny made things worse by calling the police and having Bale arrested for assault. She said, "I was incredibly angry, but I can see now that I was very naive, too . . . I went to the police hoping that some big policeman would go round there and have a quiet word with him. I just wanted someone bigger than him to tell him [he] was wrong." She still hopes for a reconciliation, as does Bale's 86-year-old grandmother and the rest of the family.

They definitely sound related, have the same anger management, infantile, drama, whatever. Remember that kind of stuff cost Russell an Oscar, Christian might want to remember that...Sounds like Mom and Sister have bills piling up.

He's a brilliant actor who has been in the public eye since he was a pre-teen
(Empire of the Sun)...who know what his mother and sister are like; she gives her version...calling the police wasn't naive--it was vindictive..maybe the family have been parasites on his career?
His anger at the guy who walked on the set during his take and broke his concentration speaks more to his attention to detail as an artist.
That stuff goes on all the time except the mike isn't always on or tape released on the internet...
