Perhaps in an attempt to silence skeptics who say their love is scripted -- Kim Kardashian and Kanye West made a show Wednesday night of kissing for the first time in public at the Cannes Film Festival, as photographers snapped away. Spies tell Page Six that the two were "making out" all night when the cameras weren't around, too.
Kardashian accompanied West to the premiere of his music video/movie, "Cruel Summer," which was filmed in the Middle East and stars a Kardashian lookalike. The two appeared to have chosen matching ensembles for the red carpet, West sporting a white blazer and T-shirt while Kardashian wore a white mini dress with gold and silver appliques.
As the pair posed for pictures, West stood holding Kardashian tightly, his hand around the small of her back. At one moment, Kardashian turned toward her beau, and pulled him toward her as the two engaged in one of their first public lip locks.
But sources tell Page Six that their PDA wasn't limited to the highly choreographed kiss. One witness says that at the Belvedere-sponsored bash for the film, Kardashian and West were “making out in the corner, and were all over each other.”
Another source furthers, "Kim and Kanye were super affectionate throughout the party, always near each other." They made sure to be seen looking cozy by all – possibly because their romance has been criticized as a publicity stunt.
After the party, the pair headed for a bite to eat at Baoli Beach with West's pal and Watch the Throne collaborator, Jay-Z.
"Jay-Z was also in good spirits," the source says.
Theophilus London and model Anja Rubik were also attendees at the party.Follow @PageSix
