Cruz casts movie

Victor Cruz has given careful thought as to who would play his girlfriend, Elaina Watley, in the possible future movie version of his new memoir, “Out of the Blue,” written with FoxSports.com reporter Peter Schrager. While the Giants wide receiver named “Stomp the Yard” actor Columbus Short to play himself, it took 10 seconds of thought before he finally decided on Watley’s character. “I would say Zoë Saldana,” he told us. Cruz celebrated the book’s launch at a Hennessy-sponsored party at Chelsea hot spot No. 8 on Monday night. As for when a wedding to Watley would happen, Cruz said, “Soon, soon. It’s something that’s in the works. When the timing’s right, we’ll eventually do it.”
