Lohan: Gimme a brake!

Lindsay Lohan’s “road” trip just got a little weirder.

The “Herbie: Fully Loaded” star has reportedly added a dramatic twist to the narrative of the Friday crash that totaled her leased $80,000 Porsche.

Lohan had originally told cops that an 18-wheeler cut her off on Pacific Coast Highway, causing the rear-end crash that briefly sent her and an assistant to the hospital.

Now Lohan has added a new element to the tale, saying she replaced the brakes two days before the crash, and they didn’t work when she slammed on them Friday, according to TMZ.com.

Lohan’s rep, Steve Honig, yesterday declined to back up either or both stories. “Lindsay has provided law enforcement with everything they have asked for,” he said.

Santa Monica police Sgt. Richard Lewis said, “The investigation is ongoing and I cannot comment on any statements Ms. Lohan may or may not have made at this time.”
