Take my girlfriend's assault case — please!
Misdemeanor assault charges were tossed out this morning against the alleged girlfriend of married comedian Jackie Mason after both sides agreed to let the matter drop.
Kaoru Suzuki-McMullen, 48, had been accused of walloping the diminutive, 83-year-old funny man in his Midtown apartment back in March, leaving him with a bloodied arm, cops had said at the time.
The case, which included a charge of harassment, was dismissed and sealed without the long-haired, fishnet-stocking-wearing beauty appearing in court. A source close to the case said afterward that Mason hadn't really been injured all that badly.
"Everyone agreed that there wasn't a lot of there," said the source, speaking on condition of anonymity.
Suzuki-McMullen's lawyer declined to comment on the case. But two of Mason's lawyers attended court, saying afterward that Mason was happy with the outcome. They also declined to comment on the status of Mason's relationship with Suzuki-McMullen.
"They want to move on," said lawyer Dan Horwitz, whose celebrity clients include David Letterman, who he repped when the Late Night host was the victim in a $2 million extortion case.
"I think they both want to move on with their lives," agreed celebrity divorce lawyer Raoul Felder, who was there as a personal pal of Mason.
Not that Mason is getting a divorce, Felder said."Absolutely, absolutely not!" Felder said when asked if Mason was having any marital issues with his longterm wife and manager, Jyll Rosenfeld, 59.
Mason and Rosenfeld live in separate apartments in the same building, and the wife is just fine with Mason dating around, Suzuki-McMullen had told The Post in an exclusive interview in March.
