He's lucky to be alive.

A Chinese tightrope walker escaped major injury when he fell off a high wire hundreds of feet above the ground Sunday.

Shocking video shows Aisikaier trying to walk backwards across a ravine, blindfolded, before losing his balance.

The acrobat had completed nearly all of his half-mile-long walk, but whipping winds -- and a bout of dizziness -- caused him to fall, he told CCTV.

Somehow, the sixth-generation performer survived his fall, landing in a wooded area and walking to safety under his own power.
