DON'T MISS!: RIGHT DIRECTION!
HEY! OMG! Lock up your daughters! One Direction, the British boy band beloved by millions of texting and tweeting teens, is staging two(!) gigs at the Beacon Theatre tomorrow.
Non-believers might choose to avoid the area. In March, when the band appeared at Rockefeller Plaza, the streets were blocked by 15,000 screaming girls.
The quintet — Niall Horan, 18, Zayn Malik, 19, Liam Payne, 18, Harry Styles, 18, and Louis Tomlinson, 20 — is the first British group of such adorable cuteness to conquer America since The Beatles.
“We’re excited to be in New York again, having fun with our fans,” says Liam, known as “the sensible one.” “Besides the concerts, we’re going to have a normal weekend in the city,” he insists, adding, “I’d like to go up the Empire State Building because it’s about the only place I haven’t been yet.”
3 and 8 p.m. at Broadway and 74th Street. For more info, go to beacontheatre.com.
