ALBANY – Attorney General Andrew Cuomo has moved again against scandal-charged Senate Majority Leader Pedro Espada, announcing just a few minutes ago that he has served a subpoena on the Senate for records relating to the hiring of 10 individuals linked to the embattled Bronx Democrat.

“We want to know where these people worked and when,’’ Cuomo said in a statement.

“We also want to know why they were hired and under what circumstances.’’

The 10 either serve or served on the board of directors of Espada’s non-profit Soundview Healthcare Network, or worked for the organization. Cuomo alleged in an explosive civil suit Tuesday that Espada siphoned more than $14 million from Soundview for himself, his family, and his friends.

Yesterday, FBI, IRS and officials of Cuomo’s office conducted an early morning raid of Soundview armed with a federal search warrant issued pursuant a criminal investigation into alleged mail and tax fraud and the misuse of state and federal funds.
